![]() That's not to say there isn't any angst, though. So, yeah, I was surprised when his fears were unfounded and I was happy that he and Caleb were able to find their happy. He was scared he would lose the only good things in life he has ever had. For much of the book, I watched Josh be so careful so that no one else would catch on to his relationship with Caleb. What I got was an uplifting story about two young men finding their way in the real world after leaving the only way of life they had known. And the 'you are sinful and evil and filled with Satan' variety. ![]() You see, this story had the potential for some serious angst in the 'I hate myself' variety. The reviews from trusted sources told me that, but that I would find it to be such an uplifting book. ![]() ![]() So, finally, I gave in at the book's insistence that I read it. And it kind of sat on my Kindle for a bit and the cover taunted me some. ![]() In Front of God and Everyone was a Bookbub special a few weeks ago, and the reviews were good, so even though I wasn't familiar with the author, I said, 'why not'. I love it when a book takes me by surprise. ![]()
